For us, the most important thing is that our guests leave our tours feeling happy and with a greater appreciation of our beautiful country. We take all steps we can to be the best. We are an Internationally Licensed Travel Company and all our guides are individually licensed too. All of our tour guides speak English well and have both experience and genuine interest in tourism. We will never do any “shopping stops” or orchestrate stops at sponsored businesses when you’re on a tour with us. We take you where we know you’ll get the most from the experience, not where we will collect commission. We appreciate your time in Vietnam is limited and we want you to fall in love with the place we call home. We support other small local businesses and show you the real Vietnam. We’re forward thinking and passionate about responsible travel. We will always advise how to dress respectfully for the activities in the tours. Furthermore, we will never use any animal labour to transport people or things.

For all public tours we will collect you at any centrally located hotels in district one and three. If you are staying beyond these areas please get in touch to set up the meeting point at Starbucks Coffee cafe located at the AB Tower. Please click here for location details and map.

For private tours we will collect at any centrally located hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. If your accommodation is not in the city please get in touch in advance to let us know and we will be happy to discuss options. Please note there maybe be an extra charge for such collects if your accommodation is too far from the central districts or outside of the city.

For all public tours we will drop you off at any centrally located hotels in district one and three. If your accommodation is not in these areas please get in touch in advance to let us know and we will be happy to discuss options. Please note there maybe be an extra charge for such drop offs if your accommodation is too far from the central districts or outside of the city. Look out for the drop off details when booking your tour online.

For private tours we will drop you off at any centrally located hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. One of the great things about Maika Tours is our small group sizes. We do this to ensure you get the most out of our knowledgeable guides and are able to get to know everyone in your group. None of our public tours have more than 9 people in any group plus we have no minimum requirements for our tour to run so we will still go ahead if just one person has booked.

Please see our individual tour pages for each tours minimum age requirement. We do not have a maximum age limit and welcome anyone to come along. We ask that all participants are in good health and fit enough to complete any walking requirements.

Please get in touch as soon as you become aware you may be unable to make your tour so we can try to accommodate you. If you are unable to make your reserved tour and we have spaces on the tour for the following day we will happily change your booking free of charge. Please see our Cancellation Policy for further details.

We do not accept payments in cash for our tours. We suggest reserving your tour through our booking software which will enable you to make the required transaction.

Yes, private tours are available for all tours listed on our site. Please get in touch for any further information about any listed tours.

Any of our private tours can be customised to suit your preferences. Please get in touch to let us know what you would like to see and do and we will do our best to arrange it.

Yes, gift vouchers are available for all tours offered. They can be purchased via our booking software.

A cyclo is a three wheeled rickshaw peddled by a driver. It is a very common mode of transport in the city and a very enjoyable way to get around!

Yes, much like a waiter in a restaurant our tour guides rely on gratuities to form part of their income. If you feel your tour guide provided you with a great experience, then please tip accordingly. We usually recommend around $2-$4 per person per day for the guide and $2-$3 per person per day for the driver.

Yes, you can. We are able to accommodate all your needs and can change any timings on our private tours. Simply get in touch to let us know of any changes.

Yes, we recommend that during our tours you should dress conservatively especially when visiting temples. We recommend bringing a sarong to cover your shoulders if required.

No, we will never take you to any sponsors shops on any of our tours. So you can rest assured there will be no surprises along the way.

Yes. We can for any tour except our Street Food tour which we do not recommend for vegetarians and vegans. For any other tour that includes a meal, we are able to cater for specific dietary requests. Please get in touch with us before your tour to let us know your requirements.

A little rain never hurt anyone! Our tours will still go ahead if it is raining. We will offer you a single use waterproof poncho to keep you nice and dry throughout the day.

Besides our tours for mainland travellers, we also offer great value options for people who travel by cruise ships. We aim to offer quality tours at a competitive price. You can chose one of existing tours or create your own customised itinerary. Get in touch to arrange your tour!

Of course! If a date or time is sold out, please contact us. We are often able to accommodate last minute booking requests even if the tour is full.

Yes. Our tours run every day except the Vietnamese New Year holiday which runs from February 13-23. Additionally, our Street Food tour, does not run on Liberation Day, 30th April & 1st May and Independence Day, 2nd September. This is because the street vendors do not work on these days.

Yes, bathrooms are available throughout our tours. Your guide will point them out to you when required.

Accommodation is not included. We provide recommendations and pricing guides for each night we stay once booking is confirmed. If you’d like to know more about this, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Right now, we currently list trips in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Areas only as these are our speciality. In addition to this, we also have many years of tourism experience around all regions in Vietnam.
